Examination of technical devices provides for the assessment of compliance of technological equipment, the requirements of normative technical documents in the field of industrial safety, as well as the assessment of the technical condition of technical devices used at hazardous production facilities.
Examination of industrial safety is carried out:
- in the development of the design life of the technical device;
- in the absence of technical documentation data on the service life of the technical device;
- by order of the authorized bodies.
At the end of the service life, established in the regulatory, design and operational documentation, the relevant requirements of industrial safety, further operation of the technical device, buildings, structures without examination and work to extend the safe operation is not allowed.
For buildings and structures examination is also carried out with unsatisfactory results of their periodic inspections.
According to the results of the examination to determine the possibility of extending the safe operation period, one of the decisions is made:
- continuation of operation with the preset parameters;
- continued operation with limited parameters after repair and restoration works;
- continued operation after repair;
- continuation of operation after the upgrade;
- continued operation after reconstruction;
- decommissioning.
If the documentation does not contain the designated service life of the diagnosed technical devices, buildings and structures, materials, then the service life of a similar technical device, building, structure, material is accepted.
The terms of operation of the newly created technical devices, buildings and structures, materials are set in the design documentation.
Depending on the technical condition, the extension of the operation of the technical device, building, structure, material is carried out for a period up to the projected onset of the limit state (residual life) or for a certain period (gradual extension of the service life) within the residual life.
Carrying out of technical diagnostics as running (in operation) of technical devices, buildings and structures, materials, and in reserve, in storage or conservation, followed by conducting different types of monitoring after bringing them into working condition. At the same time, changes can be made to the work program for extending the safe operation period.
